I hate buying new cars, but my car was totaled in an accident so I had to get a new volvo. To my amazement I actually had a good time buying my new S60. This was because Michael Bernardo made the experience so pleasant and fun. Everything went smoothly and he was very patient and helpful in explaining the car's new features and promising I could return for more assistance if necessary. I really like the low key and personalized atmosphere of Steingold. I'm guessing it's partially because it's a family run business, a rarity in today's corporate world. I have been a Volvo owner since 1995 I have had a two 850 sedan, V70 wagaon and this purchase was my second XC90. Not only do we love the Volvo product, Steingold is by far the best Dealership around in New England, this was our first purchase from them, and we are sorry that we did not know of them sooner for all of our other prior Volvo purchases. I already know that we will purchase our next Volvo from there. They are the most professionally, friendliest, curtious, cleanest, well knowledge and par non service in New England hands down for dealerships and believe me I have been in several dealerships over the years. I have already recommend them to several of my friends who are thinking about purchasing Volvo's. I like the fact that they only deal in Volvo's and that everyone that works there is knowledgable in the product inside and out. Our family has bought 6 cars from Steingold over the past 15 years and the main reason we have always returned and recommended the to our close friends is the professional treatment we have received. Not only is my new 2013 XC-90 R-Design totally sweet, Steve worked to get me the exact car I wanted in less than a week! I was away on vacation so we did everything through email. When I returned to get the car everything was set up for me - Bluetooth, Sirius subscription, accessories, financing, registration, even insurance. So easy, quick and really just quite pleasant. I was very nervous about negotiating a new car purchase but Steve is such a down to earth guy, it made it easy. The overall experience with Steingold Volvo was excellent! I went to the dealership late Sat. afternoon and at about 5pm I decided to pull the trigger right when they were about to close. No worries at all from Stephen and less than 45 minutes all the paperwork was completed and I drove away in my new call. The customer service was an A++++ and the ease of buying was amazing. The experience could not have been better! Michael was informative and helped me get to a decision very quickly. I arrived at the dealership about 5:45PM and was out the door by 6:30PM. I've been researching the new 2012 Volvo S60 T5 for the last several weeks and I currently own a 2000 Volvo S80. My goal was to lease the new S60 T5, give the S80 to my two daughters, who are currently away at college, and trade in their 1999 Nissan Sentra. Needless to say, Stephen and Michael Benardo made it happen with no obstacles whatsover! I didn't realize that Steingold Volvo is owned by the Bernardo family and Stephen and his brother Michael were by far the coolest guys I have ever dealt with in terms of car buying/leasing!! Both of these guys are consummate professionals who know their stuff! Stephen and I initiated contact through an email via their impressive website. I told Stephen what I was looking for in terms of a 3 year lease and he was very responsive in a series of email exchanges. We met at the dealership and after taking the S60 out for a test drive, looking over the trade-in and crunching numbers, I inked the deal. The next day I got my insurance in place and my wife and I met Stephen and Michael to pick up the new Volvo! Michael, who knows the car's technology inside out, took his time to explain all of the really neat features and he actually connected up our phones thru the bluetooth technology. Such a totally smooth, stress free car buying experience. Everyone I dealt with was upfront, not pushy and helpful in sorting through the options and choosing exactly what I wanted. The car came in earlier than I was expecting and I was able to pick it up that same day with financing, registration and insurance worked out within a couple of hours. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone interested in buying a new Volvo (and I'm sure a pre-owned Volvo though I can't speak to that experience). -smkt

I just bought my 2013 Volvo XC-90 from Steve this weekend, and honestly could NOT have been happier with the whole transactiion. Steve and Mike made the car buying experience smooth and enjoyable, reviewed all the options, took all the time we needed to help us with payment options! I've owned Volvos for that past 20 years and now that I've dealt with Steingold Volvo, I'll never go anywhere else. Not a question, just a thank you to the service department. I had my car in last Saturday for routine service, but I also asked them to check on an issue with the transmission. I had given them the Technical Service Bulletin info about the problem. The service team not only updated the transmission software, but also all of the other updates. In the past, other dealers have given me the runaround about things like this. Not at Steingold. Much appreciated--and the car is now shifting very smoothly. Thanks and good work. -dbanush

I just purchased an '06 S60R and am really enjoying it so far. Not only did Steingold Volvo have the best price for my parts (they beat both of my local dealers), but I had the pleasure of speaking directly with Michael Bernardo, who apparently handles all of the Internet orders. He informed me my part was in stock and ready to ship. However, UPS had already come and gone for the day, so it would go out tomorrow. I mentioned that if it had been able to go out today, I would have received it before the weekend and could install it Saturday, but, oh well, I would do it next week. This is where Mike went above and beyond. He offered to pack it right away and take it to a UPS store, so my parts are now en route to me and will be here in time to install them this weekend. This is what Customer Service is all about. Mike did not have to go to the UPS store for me, and I was willing to accept that I would not be able to install my parts as planned, but he really stepped up and showed me what Steingold is made of. My experience at Steingold Volvo was practically effortless. I was greeted with kindness but NOT overwhelmed, as anxious sales people tend to be overwhelming; especially in a car dealership. The showroom is complete with the Volvo collection, clean, and browser friendly. I knew I was in the market for a Volvo when I walked in but wasn't sure what most fit my lifestyle. I have purchased many cars in the past 40 years. Steingold Volvo stands head and shoulders above every other dealer I have purchased from (and there were some very good ones in the mix). I researched this purchase and tracked available inventory as far away as Virginia. Everyone wanted to sell me a new car, only Michael presented the whole package (salesmanship, honesty, service and consistency).
This is a major investmant. I know that it will be well managed by Steingold's proven excellence in service (we have been having our 2006 S60 AWD serviced for most of its 6 years at Steingold because the original seller had poor after sale ability).

Overall a very positive experience from our first visit to their showroom through the delivery of our vehicle. Upon our first visit to their showroom we were impressed with the way were left to peruse the floor models on our own for a while before a salesperson approached us. This was not the first vehicle dealership we had been to, and we appreciated not being approached the second we entered their parking lot.
When we went to pick up our new Volvo, our salesman, Paul Vellucci introduced us to Steingolld's service department personnel and to Mike Bernardo, who offered to 'spend as much time as it takes' to get us comfortable with all of the new technology in our XC60 - and he did exactly as promised. New technology always carries with it a learning curve that can be both time consuming and frustrating, but Mike and Paul ensured that we were completely comfortable before we left. -New XC60

Went into Steingold for warranty work; left purchasing a new vehicle. This is my 4th Volvo purchased in ten years, and for my wife, 5th in twelve years. My wife and I had never done business with Steingold Volvo before, but we had seen their ad online so we decided to check out their preowned inventory of XC70 and XC90's. We met Steve upon our arrival and he was extremely friendly and helpful showing us what they had in stock. After viewing a couple of XC70's we saw an XC90 and immediately knew it was the right car for us. It was in extremely good condition with new tires and had all the features we were seeking. Recently decided to go the luxury brand route for a change of pace from my Toyota - Volvo was one of the many vehicles on my list of potential vehicles for my family, along with BMW, Audi, and Mercedes. Exhausted from so many choices, I was very confused. Walked into Steingold and spoke to Stephen, the sales manager. I told him my situation and he calmly explained all the models of Volvo. I quickly fell in love with the XC60 - needless to say, 20 minutes later I had my vehicle appraised as I took a quick test drive; this made me love the car even more. I chose the XC60 T6 AWD, which is definately a winner. The process was as smooth as I could have hoped for. Very professional and pleasant. And the showroom was full of others families that seemed to be on the same page as me. Honestly, I couldn't say more positive things about Volvo as a brand and Steingold most certainly is one of the reasons. I bought an XC70 for export to Canada over the Internet from Steingold. I had made inquiries to a number of dealers for different vehicles, but Steingold (Mike) was one of the only dealers to actually respond to my request for more information. When the purchase was completed, Mike had all of the paperwork done the same day and emailed to me so I could fulfil the export requirements. The day I picked up the vehicle, Tony picked me up at the airport and Steve had everything on the vehicle ready to go for me, including temporary plates. Steve even helped me book tickets to the ball game at Fenway! It was without a doubt the best experience I have had buying a vehicle. -Anonymous

I bought my new 2010 Volvo XC10 from Steingold. From the moment my husband and I walked in the door, Mike treated us with the utmost friendliness and respect. He was throughly knowledgable about every aspect of the car, and answered all questions with precision. We were never rushed and were allowed as many test drives as we needed in order to make an informed choice. We are a Volvo family, so we knew that this was the nameplate we wanted. My 1998 V70 wouldn't start and was towed to Volvo dealer in Warwick/Cranston. Service said I needed a new fuel pump and it would cost $1800. I called Steingold and they said it would only cost $900. So I had it towed there. After they checked, it only needed a couple of gallons of gas. Has run fine for the last 10,000 miles. Cost me $99 for the diagnostic charge. -hermanv
